Notes: Hood & Tonneau

• We don't advise using the economy hoods, and we will not fit them for customers, but if you just need to "get something half-decent on the car so as I can sell it" then the economy hood is for you
• All hoods  are supplied with a Zip Rear Window where original, except for economy hoods
• All hoods & tonneau covers are supplied with poppers and instructions
• Tonneau cover prices assume no headrests; if headrests are fitted add 12% to (unfitted) cost
• Full range of colours available; Coloured hoods, tonneau covers & hood bags add 15% to (unfitted) cost. We are also able to supply with a coloured piping. Coloured items must be paid for in full prior to ordering and take 2-4 weeks
• Full or partial frame renovation can be undertaken at our workshop if required £P.O.A

Carpets:

Notes: Carpeting

• Our de-luxe deep pile carpet is used as original equipment by many British sports & kit car manufacturers. This carpet features a pliable rot-proof latex backing making it ideal for use over curved surfaces such as gearbox tunnels etc. It is particularly suitable for use in convertibles as it does not retain moisture to the extent that moulded carpet does.
• Moulded carpets are more expensive because they are pre-formed to a greater extent than the deep pile carpets and consequently a little easier to fit. Available in Black, Wedgewood blue, Red, Biscuit, British Racing Green, Grey. Must be pre-ordered taking 2-4 weeks
• All our carpets have large sewn-in heel mats and bound leathercloth piping.
• We do not advise the use of underfelt. Our carpets are of thick material which does not really require the fitment of additional material. Although underfelt provides the benefit of enhanced soundproofing it tends to disintegrate quite quickly and acts like a sponge for moisture - taking weeks to dry out if it ever gets really wet in a convertible - with subsequent detrimental effects for metalwork underneath.

Trimming Accessories:

Hood Frame Webbing The original light bluey/gray Triumph hood frame webbing is now available again. Stag £16.00 pair.  TR6 £18 pair. Herald & Vitesse £15.00 pair. Alternatively it can be purchased in bulk off-the-roll, please ring for a quote. NB This is the correct grade material with a little give, unlike seat belt type webbing which we see commonly used which has no give and consequently doesn't do the job as designed.

Automotive Aerosol Spray Glue. The best & easiest to use glue for hoods, carpets & car trim. Allows minor adjustment period to achieve best fit of approx 10 minutes (depending on temperature) before setting hard £9.65 can (400ml) Please note that this adhesive is a very strong  trade product and is harmful by inhalation. Use in a well ventilated location eg outdoors

Hood Popper & Bodystud Tool. Professional all-steel tool as used in our trimshop - not the plastic one which doesn't work, which you may have seen elsewhere! £16.00

REAR HOOD WINDOWS
Clear Vybak rear hood window sheets. For effecting repair to or replacement of rear hood windows.  Sheet size 50" x 26" at £26.00 Sheet size 50" x 40" at £39.00 Don't need to replace the window, just remove scratches? - see here

• Only need footwell carpets?      
• What about a boot carpet or rubber mat?

R E C O N D I T I O N E D  S E A T S 

Notes: Reconditioned Seats:

• Seats are stripped to their component parts. The frames are repaired & strengthened where required, and internal components (foams, diaphrams hogs etc) replaced and new covers fitted. Reconditioned seats are sold on an exchange basis or a surcharge will be applied. The old seat must be complete and reconditionable.
• COU means we can usually only recondition the Customers Own Unit - we don't usually have exchange stocks. POA means Price On Application depending on exact seat specification

Restoring your Spitfire / GT6 / TR6?  Interior Retrim Package

Kit consists of:

• 1 pair seat recover kit & hog ring clips
• 1 carpet set
• 1 boot carpet
• 1 gearlever gaitor
• 1 handbrake gaitor
• 1 aerosol automotive glue (for carpet)
• 1 pair door trim pad & clips to fit
• 1 pair rear wheel arch trim pads & clips to fit
• 1 rear cockpit trim pad & clips to fit
• 1 fuel tank board (in boot - only available in black as per original)

Black kits are available from stock. Colour kits are supplied to order so we can supply any colour combination you desire, eg red seats and carpets with tan piping. We can also supply seat recovering kits in leather - please ask
